MADONNA. In 2004 I moved about 8 times and basically just carried a suitcase and the plates with the drawings. I painted the Madonna with fine pastels smeared with the bellies of my fingers over the rough paper, where exactly it was I really don't know anymore. Probably in Vinohrady. My Prague friends and I from the Futura graphic studio circle did so much that it's a wonder that any work has survived. I later framed the pastel and hid it in a South Bohemian attic, where it waited for you almost two decades. I hope you enjoy the sunny yellow palette, the delicate drawing and especially the American icon: Madonna.
